Poster Printing for Advertising Success
Double Royal Poster Size
One of our most popular formats for posters is called Double Royal and it is 25” x 40” (635 x 1016mm). We tend to garner a lot of business from some of the UK’s heritage railways lines, which makes us happy as we are big railway nerds here and some of our favourite posters are for Vale of Rheidol Railway in Aberystwyth. These often use Double Royal and it is a perfect size for impactful posters which stand out for their customers.
It can be great fun to be able to follow your passions and to watch these posters come to life. It is a pleasure to work with our heritage railway customers and we are always enthused by what they ask us to print.

Outdoor Event Posters - Standard Sizes A3 - A0
We are often asked to print posters for display outdoors to advertise upcoming events. These tend to be in the sizes ranging from A3 to A0. These are very popular poster sizes and it is easy to produce as many or as few as needed because of our large format printing capabilities.
Event posters can advertise for anything from a couple of weeks to a few months, so they need to be able to hit the sweet spot in terms of cost and durability in order to be commercially viable. We believe that we have managed to do this, so please get in touch to request a quote, for all of your event poster needs.
Outdoor posters need to be more durable than those displayed indoors as paper posters can quickly become illegible or even end up coming apart in some of the more persistent rains we have in the UK. To combat this, we offer a special range of printed PVC posters tailored to your individual requirements, with 220 micron PVC matt white being our most popular all-weather format.
We recommend that if you are looking for a larger format poster you choose a higher weight paper or PVC, depending on whether it is for indoor or outdoor use. This gives a much greater durability, which is important when hanging large posters, as opting for less strength can sometimes cause them to tear, which is far from ideal.
If you have a display case already in which to display your outdoor event posters, you can generally get away with high quality paper posters such as 200gsm silk paper but if they are exposed to the elements at all, we would highly recommend using the PVC version to be on the safe side. We can also supply snap frames and lockable outdoor boxes to house posters if required.
